Utility Worker I - Water Restoration Plant
Join the Water Restoration Team as a Utility Worker I. This full-time benefitted position is an opportunity for a candidate with a mechanical background.
Duties for this position include:
- Conducting routine maintenance, cleaning, painting and repair of buildings, pumps and other equipment
- Assisting in operation, maintenance and cleaning of the Solids Thickening and Dewatering equipment
- Assisting the Treatment Plant Operators and Mechanics
- Operating heavy equipment such as a water tanker truck and forklift
- General maintenance to include using lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws and other power hand tools
- Repairing landscape irrigation systems as necessary
The proposed work hours for this position are: Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This expected hire date will be after September 1, 2025.
Employees in this classification must live within a thirty-minute drive of their regularly assigned work site by the end of the probationary (12 months from date of hire) period.
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience, are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing/Certification Requirements (positions in this class require):
• Valid Oregon Commercial Driver’s License Class B with tanker endorsement at time of hire
In addition, within 12 months of appointment incumbents require:
• Forklift Certificate
